COVID-19 POLICY

This COVID-19 Policy for the International Council on Active Aging Conference, Leadership Summit and Expo 2022 is written to respect the health and well-being of everyone at the conference. This policy is based on guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

This policy, along with the event’s health and safety measures, will continue to evolve as the COVID-19 situation changes. Protecting the health and safety of all participants remains the top priority. ICAA is very aware that professionals at the conference work with older adults, a group at high risk for COVID-related illness.

ICAA requires all attendees, speakers, exhibitors, contractors and guests to:

    1. Submit evidence they are fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC, or
    2. Submit proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the meeting. Learn how to submit your Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test Result.
  1. Wear a mask at the conference when not eating, drinking or presenting (if a speaker).
  2. Avoid attending the conference if they test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days before November 8, feel ill or have COVID symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with symptoms or someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19.

Fully vaccinated means two weeks after a person has received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines. The second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or single dose of J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine must be completed by October 24, 2022, to qualify as fully vaccinated for the ICAA Conference. Attendees who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (all vaccinations by October 24, 2022) are exempt from providing a negative COVID-19 test.

The PCR is the accepted COVID-19 test. Home tests and antigen tests are not accepted. The PCR test must be administered no earlier than 72 hours prior to conference attendance. Be aware that it may take a lab 48 hours to process a PCR test.

ICAA will not provide on-site testing. Testing is at the expense of the conference participant. To view testing locations near our Orlando, Florida, venue, please visit Orlando COVID test at https://orlandocovidtest.com

Specific requirements, including but not limited to the type of documentation, type of test and the time period in which the test must be administered, may change closer to the meeting based on CDC guidelines at that time.
